Founded in 1992, Università degli studi Roma Tre is organized into 12 departments, offering a wide-range of courses to its 40,000 students. Scientific research, together with education, is one of the essential functions of the university.
The Department of Engineering of Università degli studi Roma Tre started its activity on January 1, 2013. It has been established by the fusion of former 4 Departments of Applied Electronics, Civil Engineering, Computer Science and Automation and Mechanical and Industrial Engineering. It promotes a wide range of multidisciplinary activities of theoretical and experimental nature, to be expoited in applied and basic research projects with national and international academic and industrial partners.
The teaching activity is articulated in four three-year degree programmes and seven Master-degree programmes, all dealing with the areas of expertise related to the originating 4 departments.
